CUPRA x SPINNIN' RECORDS DEMO DROP 2023 - CONTEST RULES

‘CONTEST'
A contest where contestants from the Netherlands can enter by submitting their own and original demo (the “demo”) through the landing page, which leads to the Spinnin’ Records Talent Pool platform, by sharing their SoundCloud upload in order to win an official release with Spinnin’ Records. The contest will be running from February 22nd 2023 up and until July 7th 2023.


‘CONTEST TERMS & CONDITIONS'
The terms and conditions as set forth below. These Contest Terms & Conditions are applicable to the Contest.


‘THE PLATFORM’
Via the landingpage https://spinninrecords.com/cupra the Contestant shall be directed to the Spinnin Records Talent Pool Platform (All content hosted on https://spinninrecords.com/talentpool/). Including but not limited to, functionalities, contests and personal information.


‘THE ORGANIZATION’
The Organization consists of Spinnin' Records and its affiliates, and all of its employees and representatives, along with content specific artists, (endorsing) sponsors and its representatives, and agents. Contact information Spinnin' Records: Marathon 4, 1213 PJ Hilversum, The Netherlands.


‘SPECIFIC TERMS & CONDITIONS’
Specific details about the Contest, including dates, prizes and rules that are specific to each Contest. The specific terms & conditions may be found on the Contest specific webpages for each Contest.


‘TRACKS’
Tracks refers to all original audio content and remixes owned by Spinnin’ Records, its affiliates or its sublabels.


‘DEMO’
The demo must be a new and original audio production without the use of any copyright protected samples. The demo should be accompanied by all requested labelcopy details. If (royalty free) samples have been used, these must by stated in detail to Spinnin’ and must only contain samples that have been fully ‘cleared’ by the Contestant.


WHO CAN ENTER?
Participants of the Contest on the Platform must first be 18 years of age or older or have written permission from their parents or legal guardians to enter into the Contest. The Contestant is at liberty to enter into this Contest and does not infringe upon the rights of any other entity. Only demos from the Netherlands will be taken into consideration. Participants must live in The Netherlands during the length of the competition.


You are not eligible to enter the Contest or are eligible for disqualification after entering the Contest if you:
a)     Are an employee or representative of, or artist(s) exclusively signed to The Organization or are a member of the direct family of employees, representatives of or artist(s) exclusively signed to The Organization.
b)     Do not comply with The Contest Terms & Conditions
c)     Are exclusively signed to a third-party record label.


HOW DO I ENTER?
Participants of the Contest can enter the Contest by submitting their own and original demo (the “demo”), including requested labelcopy details, through the landingpage https://spinninrecords.com/cupra which leads to the Platform the Spinnin’ Records Talent Pool, by sharing their SoundCloud upload, to comply with the general terms and conditions of the Talent Pool website and the privacy policy and by entering their email address.
Participating in the Contest is free of charge. Any costs made for creating the demo and/or possible travel costs are for the Contestant’ own account.


HOW DO I WIN?
Each Contest will have its respective set of rules set forth in the specific terms & conditions on its respective contest page. 
For each contest, The Organization will announce the winner(s) in a period of time after completion of the Contest period as set out in the specific terms & conditions. This period may be later than the day of completion of the Contest period for reasons that include but are not limited to a large amount of entries, unavailability of judges and/or technical malfunctions.

  1. After submitting the demo, 8 (eight) finalists will be selected by Mr Belt & Wezol and Spinnin’ A&R.
  2. Once selected, the finalists will need to take down their SoundCloud and Talent Pool upload and cancel all exploitation/distribution/publication elsewhere while this competition is still taking place.
  3. Upon delivery of the contracting- and so called labelcopy details, each finalist shall receive an exclusive licensing agreement from Spinnin’ whereas he/she shall transfer his/her rights of the demo to Spinnin’ Records.
  4. Solely with a fully executed licensing agreement, the chosen demo’s will participate in a Convoy Ride with Mr. Belt & Wezol. On May 25th, 4 (four) CUPRA cars will drive in a convoy through Rotterdam. Mr Belt & Wezol will be sitting in 1 (one) of the cars listening to the demo’s with the participants. From the 8 (eight) finalists, 4 (four) chosen ones will be selected by Mr. Belt & Wezol for the next round.
  5. The next round will take place after the Convoy Ride and the 4 (four) finalists will partake in a DJ performance at the CUPRA City Garage Rotterdam Karel Doormanstraat 12, 3012 GJ Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
  6.  From the Garage DJ performance, two finalists will be selected by Mr. Belt & Wezol
  7. (Two) 2 finalists will each have 2-hour studio time with Mr. Belt & Wezol to perfect their track.
  8. From the two (2) tracks only one (1) winner will be selected by Mr. Belt & Wezol and Spinnin’ A&R. Winner announcement will take place on Talent Pool Instagram. The winner wins a release on the Spinnin’ Records Talent Pool imprint and a Pioneer DJ set.
     
     
    Timeline:
  1. The Contest runs from March 8th 2023 up and until April 20th, 2023
  2. The first 8 (eight) finalists will be selected and chosen on May 2nd
  3.  The 8 (eight) licensing agreements will be signed by May 22nd.      
  4. The Convoy Ride shall take place on May 25th, 2023 from there 4 (four) finalists will be selected
  5. The four finalists will partake in a DJ performance in the CUPRA City Garage Rotterdam onMay 25th, 2023
  6. The final 2 (two) finalists will be chosen based on this performance
  7. the 1-on-1 studio session with Mr Belt & Wezol will take place w/c June 5th, 2023
  8. Finalized track submission June 15th, 2023
  9. Winner Announcement on Talent Pool Instagram June 20th, 2023
  10. Official release of the final Track on DSP’s: July 7th 2023
  11. The Organization is, at its sole discretion, allowed to extend the Contest and the timeline up and until July 31st, 2023


By submitting your entry for the Contest on The Platform, you accept the terms of these Contest Terms & Conditions and agree to be bound by the final decisions of the judge(s).

 

Artist guarantees there will be no releases on other labels during and within two (2) months after the release of the CUPRA x SPINNIN' RECORDS DEMO DROP 2023on July 7th 2023 on Talent Pool.


The Organization will choose the winners at its sole discretion and without giving any motivation or reasons. The Organization is not under the obligation to (and shall not) correspond with participants, in any way, about the selection of the winning Tracks.


Winners will be notified by email. If the winner has not come forward with signing his/her exclusive licensing agreement within the time period as mentioned in the timeline here above, he or she will forfeit their claim to the prize.


In case of refusal of the Prize by the winner or any other reason of non-payment of the Prize to the winner, the winner forfeits his or her claim to the prize the and The Organization will appoint a different winner. In any case, the winner forfeits their claim to the prize, if incomplete or inaccurate information uploaded to the Platform prevents the Prize Winner to be contacted.


The Organization can disqualify a participant for the Contest in its sole discretion because of, but not limited to entering a Contest outside the respective timeframe, breaking the Contest Terms & Conditions, cheating, or otherwise behaving in a disruptive manner, which may or may not give an unfair advantage compared to other participants.


All participants agree that their contact information may be shared with The Organization for use of, but not limited to, contacting the winner of the contest and for purposes set forth in the Platform’s Privacy Statement.


WHAT CAN I WIN?
First prize:
An official Talent Pool release (1)
And
A Pioneer DJ set


The Organization is not responsible or liable for any losses, taxes, damages, injury or health problems that may result from the participating in any of the contest or receiving a prize the Contest.


MODIFICATIONS
The Organization may revise, change or alter these Contest Terms & Conditions and/or cancel, modify or suspend a specific Contest without prior notice in its sole discretion. Such changes will be made public on The Platform and/or official social media channels controlled by (employees of) The Organization. You hereby agree to be legally bound by the Contest Terms & Conditions as updated and/or modified.


MISCELLANEOUS
Despite the utmost care The Organization spends on the management of the Platform and the specific Contest webpage and the organization of the campaign, it is possible that the information provided is incomplete or incorrect. Typos or misspellings or other similar errors by The Organization’s published material of any nature whatsoever, cannot be invoked against The Organization and can in no way create an obligation for The Organization.
The Organization is not responsible for any technical problems, including the failure of the Internet, making possible participation in the Contest impossible.


The Organization is not responsible or liable for costs incurred by the participant in connection with participation in each specific Contest. The participant indemnifies The Organization from claims from third parties in connection with any breach of these Contest Terms & Conditions or in connection with the acts or omissions of the participant.

These Contest Terms & Conditions are solely governed by Dutch law. All disputes arising from of or in connection with these Contest Terms & Conditions shall solely be settled by the competent court in Amsterdam.
